G4 Computer science (older codes) course codes

By UCAS's old subject scheme, a course code starting G4 means computer science (older codes), in the mathematical and computer sciences area (G). 470 courses at 108 UK universities use one for 2027 entry: most ask for between 96 and 120 UCAS points; 117 courses quote A-level grades instead, most often AAA. Another 145 joint honours courses carry G4 as their second subject.

Codes in use

Universities choose their own codes, so most subjects have several. A code naming two subjects is a major/minor degree.

Joint honours

Courses carrying G4 as their second subject, by the subject their code starts with.
