UCAS course codes by subject
Most UCAS codes still follow an old subject scheme: the letter is the area and the first digit the subject, so F300 is physics and FG31 is physics with maths (F3 + G1). About three codes in four follow it; universities can pick any code, so treat it as a strong hint, not a rule.
Counts are courses for 2027 entry whose code starts with each letter or subject; each subject's page adds the joint honours carrying it second. Look up a code, or the codes for a subject, at your universities .
